Things Expected to be a Bit Different This Year: A Preview of the 2021 Thanksgiving Holiday

We’re one week away from the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday and this year’s celebration is already proving itself to be a bit unusual when compared to previous years…

Facing empty shelves and higher prices across the nation, many preparing for their traditional holiday get together have had to change their dinner menu due to low stock and have noticed a larger dent in their shopping budget this year for the few items they can find.

… And with gas prices continuing to surge, those who are required to travel this holiday season are also noticing the higher expenses! A definite problem for this time of year when airlines see a considerable upswing in ticket sales.

Join us today as we take a look at Thanksgiving 2021 – including the following Black Friday shopping rush — and how your holiday is being impacted by the difficulties currently being faced across the globe.

A Time to be Thankful?

The Black Friday rush…

There’s a lot to be thankful for this holiday season with the job market appearing to be on the rise, the economy slowly working its way back up and the spread of the 2020 virus finally appearing in our rear-view mirror.

… And yet, though many of our problems appear to be fading away, the impact they left behind is something we still find ourselves struggling with.

As ports across the globe continue to struggle with massive backlogs in the shipping industry, your local grocery has to face the threat of empty shelves during one of the busiest shopping times of the year!

This is not only a problem being faced by the food industry this holiday season as retailers who depend on the Black Friday shopping surge for an end of year boost in revenue may find it difficult to make money when they have no products on the shelves!

Already, speculators are suggesting that this Black Friday will be a bust, leaving retail sales in the dust and hindering the U.S. economy that much more…

Those products that are available this season — whether they be food or retail – are expected to have a much higher price tag when compared to years past, leaving your pockets considerably lighter than expected and disappointing Black Friday bargain hunters all across the globe.

Discussing the coming Black Friday “holiday” and the deals he expects to find, ConsumerWorld.org founder Edgar Dworsky – who has been tracking Black Friday sales for decades — recently commented that, “There are certainly doorbusters, but they’re kind of lackluster doorbusters, and that’s pretty bad for consumers.

The Wrap Up…

… Thanksgiving 2021

Despite continued concerns over what may happen in the days to come, it’s important to remember that things could be a lot worse. Yes, we may have to do without our cranberry sauce or brand new 50-inch television this year, but the world is a healthier place when compared to 2020 and, because of that, yes… we all have something to be thankful for.
