The Fauci Flip Flop: Recent Evidence Contradicts Doctor’s Claims

It can be said with almost 100% certainty that everyone on our planet has been affected by the 2020 spread of the Coronavirus in one way or another…

Whether this be through first-hand experience catching the virus, a personal relationship with someone who has caught and potentially succumb to the virus, or even simply having to wear a mask and get a shot, we’ve all noticed changes in our lives due to the spread of this seemingly never-ending plague.

During the early days of the spread, many were hesitant to blame any one individual person and/or country for the creation of the virus. And while Washington officials stumbled over their words and looked for answers, there was one outspoken man who, for better or worse, called it exactly as he saw it.

Trump’s Stance on the Virus

Despite the hatred of many, Trump was never one to back down from a confrontational comment or unpopular stance. And when it came to the Coronavirus, Trump’s attitude didn’t faulter. Trump, who regularly referred to the virus as the “China Virus” made his thoughts known early on that he believed the creation and spread of this virus was the direct result of the actions of America’s biggest rival, China.

Though often bragging of his good relationship with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Trump did not hesitate to point the finger directly at the leader for mismanagement of resources in the early days of the spread and the overall creation of the virus, whether it be intentional or not.

During these common outbursts by the then president, many who disliked Trump looked to the man who would soon become the medical face of the United States’ taskforce on the virus, Dr. Anthony Fauci. A well-known liberal physician-scientist and immunologist who many felt they could count on when they didn’t know whether or not they could trust Trump.

Dr. Fauci, however, has time and time again backtracked on his past pandemic related comments only adding more confusion to the chaos. With his continued flip flopping on the effectiveness of mask wearing, social distancing, and the overall impact he believed the virus would have here in the United States – claiming in February of 2020 that the COVID-19 risk in the U.S. would be “miniscule”, Dr. Fauci has continued through this whole process, to lose one supporter after another.

Recent Evidence Contradicts Initial Fauci Claims

Last Thursday, Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee released a report claiming there’s “significant circumstantial evidence” that the virus originated from a leak at China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology, and that the U.S. government “may have funded or collaborated” in the research that led to the eventual creation and spread.

When asked to comment on these findings during a Poynter event, Dr. Fauci claimed he’s now “not convinced” the virus out of Wuhan developed naturally as officials have previously reported.

During the event, Fauci stated: “Certainly, the people who investigated it say it likely was the emergence from an animal reservoir that then infected individuals, but it could have been something else, and we need to find that out.

A few months after the virus began to spread in February of 2020, however, Fauci stated his belief that the virus most likely “evolved in nature and then jumped species,” as opposed to being “artificially or deliberately manipulated.” Now it appears Fauci may be rethinking those initial statements.
